Everyone's favorite tile-laying French farming game, Carcassonne, is set for a pair of expansions to its excellent iOS version. We know that virtual meeples just as fun as the real thing, and it seems we'll have fresh options in time for the holdays...

In a brief statement released via Twitter, the creators said the following:

Good news everyone! We will submit the update with the expansion store (and 2 available expansions) for review to the AppStore next week.

The two expansions in question are Carcassonne Inns & Cathedrals and Carcassonne The River II. And according to the publishers, "pricing will be inexpensive".

Look out for the expansions when they hit the AppStore in the weeks to come.
