Traditionally tins have always been used to bundle in older packs with a promo from the current core set. The 2009 Wave 2 tins broke that trend – for the first time, Stardust Overdrive was available in a tin weeks before the actual set came out. Each tin contains 2 packs of 1st Edition Stardust Overdrive along with 1 pack each of Ancient Prophecy, Raging Battle, and Crimson Crisis, along with a Secret Rare copy of either Majestic Star Dragon or Earthbound Immortal Wiraqocha Rasca. As a bonus, each tin contained 1 pack of card sleeves. While extremely flimsy and unsuitable for heavy tournament use, they make a suitable set of first sleeves for the beginning player.
