  • The original tile-laying extravaganza that started it all
  • Deploy your followers across roads, cities, cloisters, and fields
  • Use thieves, knights, farmers, and monks to claim victory

There's something deeply compelling about Carcassonne and its myriad expansions that's about more than just fun. It's the simple pleasure of watching the roads, cities, fields, and cloisters emerge and grow over the course of the game. You may not win, but you've still been part of shaping the landscape - and what a charming landscape it is, with beautiful artwork spreading across the table as the game progresses. Like a simple jigsaw, but with strategic consequences attached, players in turn place tiles onto the table, matching city wall to city wall, fields to fields, and so on. Knights guard the cities, farmers till the fields, thieves make the roads a dangerous place for the unwary, and monks pray that you'll get enough points to win the game. Simple. Elegant. A classic.

All Time Favorite!

This is my favorite game. My friends are sick of it because it is all I want to play. Quick and easy.

Fun Game

I played this game at a club and enjoyed it a lot. It never got boring and everyone was engaged the whole time, I strongly recommend this product.

Great fun!

One of the few board games my wife and I enjoy playing together. We can usually finish a game while dinner is cooking.
