Overview:

When J.J.Abrams rebooted the Star Trek franchise, the resulting movie was almost implausibly good. Here, Reiner Knizia takes the director's chair and delivers an epic Trek experience that plays out like many of your favorite episodes - great teamwork, multiple threats that demand quick thinking to avert disaster, events destroying the best-laid plans, victories tinged with sadness, specialist knowledge of hydroponics coming to the fore, and maybe a good dose of photon torpedoes against the mighty Klingon battle cruiser. And there's still time for a pithy comment from Kirk, a determined pursed lip from Uhura, and a raised eyebrow from Spock before the closing credits. In gameplay terms, players send their crew to explore the planet Nibia, whilst keeping a watchful eye on the aggressive battle cruiser in orbit. There are multiple mission strands and three levels of difficulty ensuring tons of replayability. Great stuff.
