With 7 Wonders, it's your decisions that bring to fruition some of the greatest feats of human endeavor the world has ever seen. Want to build the Lighthouse of Alexandria? The Hanging Gardens of Babylon? Perhaps the Pyramids of Giza are your goal. You'll need a neat blend of military might, scientific achievement, crafty commerce, and a fair degree of strategic thinking to triumph over your adversaries. Using a neat 'drafting' mechanic, players begin each of the three Ages of the game with plenty of exciting options. But as opponents make their choices, resources become scarce. Play it safe or hope to see the cards you need later? Plow resources into building your Wonder, or trust to the military to get the job done? To the winner, the satisfaction of building a monument that will last forever - or at least until the next game!
This is a great game to play if you have like an hour to kill and have a couple buddies hanging out. The game mechanics are easy to teach and quick to understand. Not as in depth as a lot of the other building games, but it is awesome for what it does in the time frame the game takes to play!
Great boardgame for people who need to make the transition to the real world.
